- For foreigners wishing to change their residence (address), he/she must make a moving-in to the head of the relevant government office within 14 days of his/her move-in date and make the necessary changes to his/her foreigner registration card.

Alien Registration Card (or Domestic Residence Registration Card), passport, documents of proof of your new address (lease contract, etc.).
Q) Can a resident registration cardholder register for a change of residence at the Gu Office? (within 14 days of moving-in)
A) Anyone with an Alien Registration Card or Domestic Resident Registration Card can register their change of residence at the respective Gu or Immigration Office.
Q) What if my stay has expired?
A) You would need to extend your stay at your Immigration Office before filing for a change of residence. If 14 days has passed since your move, you would need to visit your new Immigration Office for registration.
Q)Do you also handle Alien Registration Card issuance, change of alien status, and extension of stay?
The services including the change of residence registration for foreigners, issue of the certificate of alien registration, seal registration, change and issue of the certificate are available at the Gu-office, and the issue of the seal certificate and the certificate of alien registration (via FAX) are only available at the community service center. The new issuance of an Alien Registration Card or Domestic Resident Registration Card, change of alien status, and extension of stay can only be dealt with at the Immigration Office that has jurisdiction over your immigration affairs.
